basically, you need high GI starchy carbs that spike blood sugar levels after you workout to restore glycogen levels. you can only do this PWO with these carbs, otherwise eat low GI (oats) carbs throughout the rest of the day. also because it absorbs so fast, it helps absorb all of the protein you need PWO.
