Boost pressure is built in exhaust gases and engine load. Has NOTHING to do with final drive. If anything would be from lower final drive to get more load.
But Boosted car can benefit from a longer first gear to take advantage of the turbo quick spool up and not waste it on tire spin and rev limiter coming so fast.
