All this crap causes the bearings to wear and make the cricket sound. You can blow a lot of compressed air to clean everything and lube and you might make it for another year, depending on the bearing wear.
The difference in the two parts is that the first is Genuine bmw part (made by Behr) and the other one is aftermarket part.
