I have decided to make this a build thread because I am doing various mods to the vehicle including paint correction and plan to continually add more pictures day by day or as often as possible. You might have to skip to the second page to start seeing the pictures. Enjoy
As most of you may know, I'm that crazy dude that was trying to find a zhp for under or at $10,000 and i was finally successul.:lmao: Anyways I'm a very sincere person and I will say that i bought the car for $8700 out the door. No accidents or anything and clean and clear title. It's a 2004 6spd IR 330i zhp and the car came with a AFE stage 1 intake and also just found out that the previous owner had a sprint booster installed as well. Overall the car is in great shape except for the steering wheel which i already ordered from coby, soon to be here. I plan on making a build thread after all of my parts get here in the next week, Including a full paint correction that im doing myself right now with my PC 7424xp. heres the only two pics i have so far. Will update more pictures when the mods get here. :woot:
Nice! I am not a fan of a slammed car but I have to say that I do love the rims and you do awesome detail work on the paint! I would love to find a nice Imola red M3 one day.

Its a nice buy if your telling us the right price. having your license revoke, im just wondering your monthly insurance will be.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead
It is the right price. . I bought the car for $8700 and then spent another $1500 to get the car shipped from Mass to idaho. Then i lost count after all the mods and maintenance, Im into it quite a bit already. Aside from the mods, I have replaced the Valve cover gasket, Fresh oil change, new brakes and pads, Fuel pump leak due to improper gasket seating from PO and a few other things.
Oh and insurance is prolly going to be around $300 a month on my SR22. Thats about what i was paying back when i had my Z4.
WOW!! love what you have done to your car..looks sexy as hell..what are the specs on your wheels? im thinking about getting the same ones and there are a few choices on offset on ESM' site..i really like how your car sits.
Get those offsets and nothing lower because it wont fit in the rear. Get a hold of Ary over at esm and he'll hook you up. and believe me about the offset because i just took off 5mm spacers that i bought for the rear because it wouldnt fit without scraping the rear fenders, and my fenders are cut and shaved.
Awesome!! thanks for the info bro..i will call ESM in a few days and place my order. As i understand, coupes have a little more room in the rear but we'll see once i get my set. Really really love your car..it's got that distinct sexy look that just grabs attention..great job!!
Thanks man. Yeah the coupes do have a little more room but either way, the lower offsets that they have in that size are for m3 fitment only and ary will tell you the same thing. Also the lip size stays the same which is 3.5" dish on the rear. let me know if you have any questions and tell ary you want the special price which is $695 vs the higher price on the website.
Lovely...got her looking good! That's a hell of a deal for a straight ZHP w/ 117k...nice find! Wish I had that room in my garage...just got done detailing mine (clay bar, Menzerna 4000, Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant w/ my Porter) and bending backwards over the last couple days has my back in knots! Keep up the nice work!
Thanks bro. Its alot of work polishing a car huh? i recently started detailing as a business now so im starting to be able to use the polisher without breaking my back! I found that you gotta kinda let the weight of the PC do most of the work and not to push down so hard. I use meguiars 105/205 combo on everything and just use different pads. 105 can get a bit messy but its cuts quick and skips the bs.
No kidding!...fortunately I only do a 3 step like this 2X/ yr (luckily my car is garaged at home and work)...I tried the Menzerna 4000 for the first time with an orange pad and wish I went slightly more aggressive on the polish..not quite enough bite to take out some surface imperfections...but mine is TiAg so cant tell unless you're at an angle...cant beat the way the IR looks when properly detailed! Maybe I'll try the 105/205 at some point...the Porter is great...I also let its weight supply the downforce like you mentioned, but my garage with my wife's car in there as well is very cramped...makes it a bit more of a challenge...I'm jealous of the space you have to work! I've thought about starting a detail business on the side but can't decide if the $$ for the work & time is worth it...curious what you're able to charge??
Thanks dogg haha. Yeah im dissapointed because i did have to take them off. I must have miscalculated somehow. Before i put them on, i cut my fenders and shaved them and the outer lip was still rubbing on the fender. I also maxed out my camber arms and still wouldnt clear. Figurered for 5mm its not worth it. Ill prolly be selling them on here as they are brand new.
Here's a small update with a few pictures. Yesterday I finally washed the car since i have finished the fender work and adjusted the suspension a little bit more. I decided to remove and not use the rear 5mm spacers at least for now. No rubbing anymore. :woot:

After Chemical guys Concours 50/50 paste wax. One of my favorite waxes, I'm starting to prefer it over my Dodo juice.
Here you can see me holding the 5mm spacer up to the rear wheel. Notice where the wheel would be with the spacer installed and why it was rubbing and causing clearance issues. :banghead:
Since alot of people have been asking about which mods and wheel/suspension i have, Im going to list all the mods that i currently have and any maintenance/restoration i have done.

Thats it for now. I ordered new 6000k replacement xenon bulbs which will be here monday and installed. I plan on getting headers and the full Highline Tuning exhaust next.
I had the same shift knob with UUC short shifter, DSSR and trans mounts. You will not be disappointed with that setup. Make sure you get the TSE3 exhaust you will love the sound.
:thanks: Yeah all of my polishing and detailing equiptment is stored in the cabinets and so its all out of the way including the compressor. I couldnt live without my garage. impin:
What color of alcantara did you go w/ for the re-wrap - black or gray? Looks like gray, but I'm not certain.
Do you know what the original color was for the ZHP wheel? I should know - I used to have one, but I ditched it a few years ago for a new leather M3 steering wheel....thinking of reverting back...
To be completely honest, the car hasn't seen any mileage at all with the rokkors on yet so I cant really say how the quality is as far as longevity. I have gone for a few spins though and its pretty stiff but also comfortable considering how low the car is.
thanks bro, unfortunately I cant drive the car on the road until September so I haven't really been able to tell much.
