I don't mind street or freeway rack g but driving while drunk is the ultimate selfish act.. Bac of .17 and you are 200x more susceptible to crashing than when sober..
happened down the street from me yesterday.....it occured to me right away that it might be a fanatic, but I dismissed it due to the speed (alleged)
you have to be really sh!tfaced to go that fast on Slaughter, it's a 2 lane road with houses and businesses left and right....plus back to back traffic lights
His passenger is extremely lucky, another genius did the same thing a few months ago in a Mustang, and ended up killing the passenger, then fleeing the scene.
7-10 beers aren't realy going to make you drunk (intoxicated, yes, drunk, no) when spread over an entire evening. All depends on in what timespan he drank those beers.
I did 230 kph on the tacho in my 320ci. Was redlining in 5th gear. I don't know how much deviation there is in real speed and speed on the tacho, but 230 kph is about 143 mph.
Sad that his two passengers suffered injuries because of his idiocy. One suffered brain and spine injuries. Having a spinal injury myself, I emphasize with the female passenger victim.
This type of thing happened all the time where I grew up. I know multiple people who crashed their cars going 100mph on narrow, bumpy roads. A few people a year died doing this, but I didn't know any of them personally, some were friends of friends though.
Yeah, I wasn't condoning it, obviously.
Just some people were talking about this like it is new or something.
This happens way more often that mass shootings, but which one do we hear about more?
Did anybody else realize how poorly written this article is? Hope that everyone ends up being ok.
I can't imagine being the parents of all three parties.
...and of course they put "BMW" right in the title of the article. Some higher-ups in the world of Journalism must really hate BMW drivers; the make of the car is always brought to attention in a speeding or accident article when it's a BMW. The article that Ghostie posted that resulted in a fatality didn't mention that it was a Mustang until over halfway through the article.
