just wondering if anyone try to use shoe paste for touch up... i have black leather seats and surprisingly my passanger outer bolster is showing signs. it lost a little color at the seem and no shop in my area actually sells dye.
I googled and got mixed reviews... I know that there are special products for everything... but im not expecting new seats that are 10 years old.. just wanted to put so e color into the fade.
NO- the leather in your vehicle is covered with urethane (finished leather upholstery is used by 95% as OEM in modern automobiles) shoe polish cotains solvents and silicon, both of which are not compatable with finished leather
i will.. after speaking to one of the leather pros, he told be the dye on real leather eill not peal or crack. so far i noticed a positive difference as it went from shiny to slight matte finiah and goes well with the rest. Its not like it looks like new but it vovere up the slight wear.
