The BMW M6 is another one of those iconic BMW models that stands out in every way. The power and performance is there with a 4.4-liter V8 engine featuring M Twin Power technology and producing 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The style is sleek and aggressive featuring double-spoke like styling on the kidney grilles and optional upgrades like Carbon Ceramic Brakes.

The first chance to see this beastly beauty in person is at the Geneva Auto Show in March with the Coupe and at the New York Auto Show in April for the Convertible version. Read on at Bimmerfest.com to get all the details about the 3rd generation M6 and see all the eye candy (photos) you can handle!

so nice. my favorite part is how they put the M6 logo in the front grille like the old schooler M cars

I like it a whole lot better than the last generation, but I will always disagree with the decision to walk away from the v10/NA platform in favor of the TT V8 in these cars. I don't care what kind of numbers it puts up, etc. the damn thing should have an NA engine. I can only imagine these will have overheating issues on the track and will eventually have reliability issues. If BMW sold this or the new M5 with the option of putting the S85 in it instead of the new engine, I'd jump all over it.

I'd be willing to bet BMW Motorsports has more than put this car/motor combo through its paces on the track. I'm sure the sacrifice in reliability and over heating issues will come when people start putting on a tuning chip and upping the boost and possibly advancing the timing. In stock form I'm sure it will be somewhat solid. I mean other than the HPFP the N54/N55 have been fairly reliable motors even when more boost is added. With this being said, this isn't their first rodeo with a high HP performance car.

Fair enough, I'll wait and see. But I still completely disagree with what BMW has done in the past few years. Nasty bangle designs, got rid of the driver-centric dash setup, and now this change to boosted motors for the ///M line. The purist in me is showing. I simply don't understand why they chose this route. They could have bored out the M3 motor and the S85 and made more power easy for the next generation; they're two of the greatest mass-produced engines ever built. Who cares about fuel economy in these cars? If that's a major concern, overdrive the last gear for highway cruising. This whole move is ridiculous.

Also, their prices are getting laughable. A loaded 335 for almost 60k?? What a joke. And the M3 price is now in Porsche 911 territory. It will probably outrun the Carrera, but they're pricing the car too high and entering the realm of the GTR and Z06, both of which will smoke it. BMW has lost the plot I'm afraid. And also, for 120k, I'll buy a GT3. BMW needs to come back to the real world and price their cars accordingly.

Agreed. The most disappointing thing to me honestly is the driver angled dash. I love that.
