Most of my mates are saying that I'm better off just selling mine and getting an M3 but I like my 330ci!
Has anyone else here already supercharged theirs?
I think there is to still, Estoril blue 330ci with a complete custom set up and a bbk from stop tech as well. Wants 20k. Went to look at it before I got my M3. It's insane but poor condition and pretty sure it's been defected which is why he wants to sell but dunno
Obviously the easiest path is to upgrade your car.
But if you want to go S/C you CAN get it engineered. It all depends on your motor and its health. I S/C'd my car and it passed emissions first go. In fact on all of the 4 gasses they did the check on, it was well below the requirements
The rest of the components meet AUS standards. Well for the M3 Kit it does anyway. You'll have to check with your car bud.
+1 on keep it if you're attached, ditch it if you aren't
From my experience the AA kit sounds very similar to the ESS in terms of how it pulls at various revs. The physical sound is much different though, as well as the aesthetic between the two.
I vote for trading to an M3 also as they hold their value extremely well, and that little M badge gains a lot of respect!
When it comes time to sell your 330 with a S/C you may have a hard time, as generally speaking no-one likes purchasing a modified and possibly 'flogged' or problematic car...
Get a car that was designed from the factory to cope with more than 200kw, rather than attempting a costly mod that will only necessitate further expensive mods (BBK, better clutch/fly, etc). Sell your 330 for $22k, buy an M3 for $33k and spend any money left over on preventative maintenance and a good detail.
just my opinion..

M3 no doubt about it. supercharging is throwing $$ down the drain when it comes to resale .wont handle or stop as well either, or look as good.......................M3, its a no brainer
