Since I've read through many broke college kid threads. I decided to make on to bring all the college kids together  post pics or vid clips of your continued progress on your car. Show us what you got! Edit: Post what college you go to.

I have a 2000 323i with 134k, bought it in February. Replaced shocks, just replaced the control arms and bushings, also the endlinks. Mods I've done are khoalty matte black grilles and smoked side markers. I have a big list of small things that need to be done...fender liner extension, brake pads, radiator, engine and tranny mounts, new mtech II bumper, LED tails and angel eyes. I think after all that's done I'll be good on maintenance and mods.

Im 20, a Jr at University of Oregon in Eugene. I recently (late July) bought a 2004 330i with 79k miles on it. I haven't done too many mods, just fixing things that the PO had messed up and doing preventative maintenance.

and small cheap mods like removing that evil effing CDV!

my plan with this car is to just save money for the issues that arise rather than mod it up.

good luck to all you broke college peeps! i feel your financial pain

I'm 20 years old in my 3rd year at VGCC going for my AAS degree in Computer Information Technology. It's a fine little community college.

I bought my black 2001 325ci in April 2011 with 170k miles on it for $6000. It now has 186k miles.

I bet my to-do list is longer than yours.

Problems with the car:

AC water leaks inside the car
clutch release bearing
front passenger turn signal is out(the connector, not the bulb)
shift boot has a hole in it
headliner sags
both corner light housings are cracked
rear tail light is cracked
part of the driver side fender side molding is loose
front bumper is all jacked up
lots of scratches and small dings
AC compressor is going out
spoiler is loose
passenger side fog light constantly breaks
passenger door handle doesn't work from the outside
driver door panel missing connectors on the bottom
missing trunk tool box screw
driver front strut bushing
wheels lost sticky weights
brakes are going out
previous owner's dog chewed up e-brake handle
one of the little compartment doors under the radio won't shut
rear ashtray is broken
windshield wiper fluid squirter doesn't work
speakers are crackly
HID headlights don't match
needs an oil change
I'm 90% certain VANOS seals are worn out

Things I have done:

routine maintenance
plasti dip kidney grill and rear emblem
OEM rubber floor mats(car didn't come with floor mats)
had to get a new key made from dealer($200)

Things I want to do:

plasti dip the outside window trim
new wheels
smoked corners, side markers, tails
tinted windows
new front bumper
new HID's with projector headlights
lowering springs
k&n intake
replica shark fin
monochrome roundels
carbon fiber door pillars
new stereo
replace wood interior with grey/silver
resonator back straight pipes

The only thing that I know from your to do maintenance list is to fix the windshield washer. Your pump is probably broken as do most vdo pumps. I suggest buying a new pump on eBay since many people have said they have better quality. I got my meyle washer for $15 with free shipping. eBay is your friend
