Ok, some of you may know that I bought a Titanium Silver M3. This car is stock, nothing but stock. Well as some of you know from my last car I like to upgrade things. Thought I'd document them as I do them. Pictures and changes to follow. For those that have followed progress of my last car I hope to continue to do a modest clean look and nothing over the top.
"Release the Hounds"
Yep that's right, still has the ambler reflectors in the bumper
Notice the special ordered no sunroof
Cloth and Black Leather M3 seats
Brushed Aluminum trim and Tri Stitched Wheel
Stock down to the Wheels and No Tint....for now
Nice CSL BK. I friend of mine had the same issue with his lip. He just Got pissed and we ended up using screws to force the fitment. Now he wants to mold it. He loves it too much to take it off. LOL
Thanks Alec, yep I would like to shave the reflectors in time and fill the license plate holes too. Thats gonna be one of the later things, doing the rear trunk/bumper/diffuser first.
yes they are HID projector driving lights inside stock fog housings, the flash lit them up..they aren't on but you can see the projector
Just installed my leather wrapped center console. :woot:
It makes the console much more classy looking. Photos to follow after I get the eurotray to sit more flush
Ok, here's my latest. Black leather covered center console (and euro tray). No more sratched up area by the ebrake handle, where the seats touch on the sides either which is a plus.
BMW made some for the INDIVIDUAL program. They are crazy expensive. but you can get an upholstery shop to wrap them for you. I suggest use a file and open some areas like the Hazard switch a little prior to wrapping because with the added material it won't fit right.
got the Active Autowerke's programing tune, really nice. had the smg shift lights activated too which is a nice visual toy for us manual drivers.
also upgraded my muffler hangers. these are known to break and this one did again so siliconed them completely in to resist breaking. having done
this i notice no new vibration, actually think it's quieted down the rear resonance some.
Here's another of how the rear now looks. I really like the trunk with the diffuser. It's got an aggressive yet still sporty and classy look in my humble opinion. I need to do some minor adjustments to the fitment but came out really good.
..and the CF CSL diffuser again. just a subtle touch of CF for contrast but nothing too over the top. might have to get some new tips as it really wraps around them and hides the tips.
..and lastly had the front kidney surrounds painted body color. have this on the 323Ci and always liked it. just a subtle added touch that some don't even notice but it's there.
Some people have been asking me about the wheels and tires. No these aren't the ZCP wheel set, but the OEM CSL wheels which the fronts are wider. Here are the markings again in detail. 8.5 x 19.
The Roundel centercaps may look different because I updated them to the E9X series "domed cap" which I like better. So that's why they may look different. :dunno:
And the Tires are Michelin Pilot Sports in 255/35/19 fronts
and yes, a very large 285/30/19 rear
Here is the rear stance from behind with the larger rubber

Yes, these Roundel caps don't have that plastic edge that can get faded and the cap looks better on the dished wheels imho. I noticed the price on these has gone up a bit.
Surprisingly very good, I'll try and get some photos of the clearance. But then again my car is stock height right now until the Bilstein PSS9s go on, so it's hard to tell how flush.
OK, well I decided to mount the Race Lip. It's a 1x1 weave to go with the other BMW weave. 1x1 I feel is a little more subtle than the 2x2 and I'm not trying to go to loud. Infact I'm not sure if this CSL Race bumper is now too loud. I'll see how I like it/how long it lasts. Here it is. Also body colored front reflectors done. And you can see the bodycolored kidney surrounds too with everything on the front end. What do you guys think??
So tastefully modded. I love every single mod but the front lip and center console are my favorites. Rarity of the center console and how amazing that front lip makes the entire front end look. Bravo sub'd
no but i was on 405 by 55 yesterday afternoon :hi:
and funny you should mention that, yes i have a ZHP knob ready to install. going on tomorrow actually when i do the SSK and the UUC stainless steel clutchline. i'm pulling the CDV too
i see, what a drag. but i really have no plans to change the hood. had an oem M3 hood on my 323Ci and liked it because of the lightweight aluminum and the fitment. CF ones always look like crap when looking at it close up when painted and fitment is never as good as oem
