iv put e90 alloys on my 1999 e46 they fit but the front wheels handleing is all over the place having to fight it to keep in a straight line.they are 17 inch with 225 45 tyres on

first check for tire pressure, balance, bends and treadwear.
sometimes a bad treadwear on tires can cause the pull.
depending on what you orig. had on the car, a bigger wider wheel/tire can accentuate a problem that was already present in your suspension or allignment that you didn't realize was there.
I have a e46 sedan with 18" sport wheels from e90 330 with no problems... also I put 12mm spacers in front & rear... still no problems.
im no longer experiencing anything since replacing
