Anyone knows how the FPR works?

I'm still fighting with my TS2+ installation and now I'm focusing on the fuel.
To troubleshoot it I will need to understand how the fuel pressure regulator works.

So on NA car there is a vacuum tube connecting the intake (before or after?) close to the TB. So there is always negative pressure. The negative pressure goes up as the TB opens more. This somehow controlls the fuel pressure in the fuel filter assembly.

Now on the twinscrew I believe this vacuum line connects between the compressor so there is about -10PSI while cruising and up to +9PSI while accelerating.

How can the FPR work like this? Do I have it hooked up right?
