When putting in Super Low King Springs do I really need to change shocks?
Anyone had the Super Low setup on their e46 for a while?
Whats the ride like etc?
anytime you put on lower springs you should use proper shocks to get the proper handling. If you use your oem shock, it will prematurely fail very quickly.
They say typically, any drop ideally should have matched dampers, but it is commonly accepted that anything up tp 1.4" you can run stock dampers and still ride ok... but youre still shortening, the stock dampers lives by doing so...
Then the norm is, anything over 1.5" drop you want matched dampers, that are preferably shorter also... Do people always do that? absolutely not, but usuall when u get aggressive springs you accpet that the ride wont be the best and youre gonna swap for better matched dampers ASAP.
I've had Bilstein sports before. Now running Koni yellows.
Love em.
