Turning on LED Taillight Retrofit Ring w/o ABLAS

After the LED Taillight retrofit, I want to get the outside ring to light up with the Brake Light, so I dig into the wiring diagram as well as the intruction of the ABLAS.

I figured out that if you just want the ring to light up with the brake light, you just need to connect the black/green wire to position #4 of the plug like the pic shown below:

Hope this can help a little if you guys are having a hard time getting ABLAS. But for me, I just want the ring to light up no matter what, which is a cheaper way to do...

Peter

White wire is just a normal 20 wire and the pink thing is just a wire connector, just connect 2 wires without the need of cutting...

you really don't have to get the conector at all, just stick a regular wire from pin number 4(the empty slot)on the light side and stick the other side to the blue wire on the other side and that is it! NO connectors need it! just 1 wire, even the error indicator on the dash will disapear!!

Blue wire? Which wire in the pic are you talking about? The 2nd from the bottom?

I know you can stick the wire in, but that will be kind of loose, I rather use a splice.

the one next to the red one!! you can make the wire thicker and stick it in without cutting the wire, incase something happen you can just take the extra wire out!

ABLAS question

I have the kit and was wondering, if I am parked, standing still, and press the brake, should the outer ring light up? Or does it only light during actual driving? Because mine does not light when pressing the brake and standing still.

You need one new wire for each side, so 2 total.

He said he has the ABLAS kit, that means the brakes will light the outter ring on a very hard brake(movement). Not activated on at idle or standing still.
