Ok, I washed my car as like normal, and then polished my car for the first time (first experience too). This is a e36.
The product is used was: Meguires Step #1 from Pepboys and then followed up by Finish 2001 Polish. The swirls are still there... what did i do wrong? here are the pictures. Before: ![]() ![]() ![]() After: ![]() The lighting is bad in the after picture since it was getting dark, but the swirls are still there. I also picked up the 3M Perfect-It Rubbing Compound and tried it on part of the fender but the swirls are still there (i did not use a PC though, but a other random orbiter). I'm thinking about returning the products and going with the SSR 2.5 and SSR 1.0 and the Klasse AIO & SG way. Any tips, suggestions, places (discounts?) will all help. Thanks guys. This is a E36 M3 by the way. |

My name is Greg and I'm the Co-Owner of Detailed Image, we specialize in high end automotive detailing and providing consumers with high end automotive detailing products (www.detailedimage.com). I was starting to type a response to what you posted but I think I need to hear more about your process and then I'll be happy to explain more about the PC, SSRs, Klasse AIO + SG and all other detailing matters. Why don't you call me and we can discuss, typing this will take quite a while. My direct extension is 518-225-2342 and I look forward to hearing from you (best reached Mon - Sun 10 - 6 EST).
