is it true you shouldnt use soap when you wash your car
- if you just waxed it? like a day or two later

Not true. A ph balaced soap will not remove any wax. Soap not only cleans but it adds vital lubrication to your wash mitt or brush. Soap also hold dirt in suspension above the paint so it can be flushed away easily with water.

car washing soap.. any soap, i just have been told by a few people that its pointless to wash your car with soap if you have waxed it cuz it takes the wax off

dawn will remove wax... there are some "myths" (not sure if they are legit) that dawn should be used before waxing the car as it will strip all your old wax so you can wash the clearcoat, then apply wax to the car to get it really shining/

yup, what 2000 328ci said. don't use any dawn or similar-type products on your car unless you intend to strip your wax.
