Interior Woes
yo ok so i have problems getting into and out of my m3 and my foot scrapes the lower part of the door panel quite frequently, me wearing white shoes all the time doesnt help things. last week i must have been in a rush or something but i scratched the door panel in front of the lower storage compartment -- is this repairable? or should i look for some cf replacements? thanks!

If you post a picture I may be able to assess the damage and give you a recommendation.

In a similar line... My SO has a 2001 325Ci with the beige interior, black dash. The area around the sunglass older and the whole center console are scratched up badly. They both seem to have some kind of "texture" that comes off easyly due to fingernails, etc.
She questions if this is like this on all BMWs or was changed later to a more durable finish. I also wonder if this parts can be "sanded" down (the underlying color is a lighter color beige, the actual plastic I guess) and painted or they just have to be replaced. She says the parts were all scratched up within months of having the car. I hope I made myself clear. We are looking at replacing the whole center console, just wondering of there are other options to replace with something more durable or some treatment we can do to protect it. Thanks. |
