Why would BMW do that when they could just pull 50 cars off the line, send them over, and then send them to spanish dealerships....

The same source reveills that it was a pre production cars that had no serial numbers. They were suppose to be parked with dealers for test drives.

This pic is from one of the first press events for the e90. As far as no serial numbers goes, even demo vehicles need to have VIN's they need to be insured just like any other car. I call b.s on the story!

If you look at the last picture, the rear tire is sitting in some sort of rut. I'm assuming that's how they lined them up.
