Sound Dampening Material

Well, I want to sound-dampen my car but Dynamat is a bit pricey; I've read of another that was supposed to be just as good but cost a lot less but I can't remember the name..

Anyone have experience with dynamat alternatives. . .how well they work and what not?

This came up on a search for dynamat - the VinnyMac gives the part # in his post.

You can find that same stuff at home depot if you don't feel like ordering online and paying for heavy shipping costs..

brown bread is ok too.... and there is a sound deading paint spray from rockford too, I think.... Haven't done a comparison pesonally but I've been told brown bread is the best.
