i believe it has something to do with the fact that LEDs are way more sensitive to voltage than regular filament bulbs. our cars send out electrical pulses to check all the bulbs and it just happens to be that LEDs are sensitive enough to pic up this current and turn on. they do turn off though, once the system ecu shuts off.

right on.

mine stay on, although one side is stronger, but still dim, after i turn my car off. Once the ECU powers down though...they should go out. If they dont and stay on, then i would say thats cool as hell. ....say you park in a not so good area, with the LEDs on you might detour some would be car vandals, plus, they dont consume enough power to drain your battery significantly anyway, so win win.

I think this is why the LEDs burn out so fast. Every time you turn off your car they're still on for a while until the car shuts them off automatically

Considering the relatively long lifespan on a typical led, this seems unlikely. The more probable scenario is that the leds are being overdriven either in forward baised or reverse biased condition. The later of which typically vastly accelerates premature failure with repsect to the prior.

Mine stay on but are MUCH dimmer then when actually on. Dim enough to not be noticeable unless you look under the trunk handle.

for some weird reason, when i changed my interior lights to led, the courtesy ones that come on dont work. I checked the fuses and they are all good. These are the two in the rear, the one in the front and the two by the foot on driver and passenger side. These courtesy lights don't work anymore. I tried replacing them back to the orginal halogens ones, and it still doesn't work. I thought I could have turned them off by hitting the middle light in the front for 3 seconds, but it doesnt turn back on. Anyone have any suggestions? I know the dealer is going to charge a grip for this if it's a wiring issue.
