smoked out lights = legal?

are smoke out lights legal? is there a certain amount u can smoke out before it become illegal?

are front and back both illegal?

** how much are xenon hid kits + installation usually?

I know they are illegal over here.. but it's def. the type of thing you CAN get away with..

i dont kno... there's a cop in my city that "KNOWS" me and has made me remove every "illegal" thing.. from tint to exhauast to anything else. So if it's remotely illegal, i dont want to do it, cuz i kno he is going to catch me

In NY, the law says any coating on any light assembly, or changing any light assembly to a non DOT approved assembly, is illegal. That includes changing bulbs to bulbs with coatings, because it changes the color of the bulb.

The only exception is removing an orange lense and putting an orange light in place of a clear light. That is legal as long as the lense over the orange light is clear.

So check your local law. But if you think you will get caught, I would leave them alone.

i hope they treat tinting brake lights the same as DUI..

i almost rear-eneded people so many times cuz i can't see if their lights are on or not..
