The Official.:My Angel Eye Ballast Burned:.Thread!!

Why not make it a official??Seems like alot of fanatics ballast are either burning or not working at all.
If your ballast has burned or stop working then let it be known...Maybe this will get our sponsors to work something out with who ever is making these cheap ballast.

This is my 3rd ballast.....there isnt anything wrong in my installations its these damn ballast aren't build right....i watch this ballast burned right in front of my eyes...my angel eyes starting flickering...then all of a sudden the ballast got extremely hot...i burned myself when i touched it...i knew it was going to go...sure enough seconds later smoke starting coming out of the ballast.

I got my P46 from Umnitza.com...dont get me wrong they are great...you tell them your ballast fried and thell send you one right away...Under Warranty they say...you just have to pay for shipping.....$10.....thats fine at first...but when your on your third ballast...thats a total of $30 on shipping...for something thats covered under warranty?? I shouldn't be paying anything if its covered...im sick of it!!!!

There got to be another way to run these lights without that damn ballast...something more durable and safer.

I havent had too many troubles with my ballasts or angel eyes (knock on wood)

In one year ive only had to replace one ballast. but then again i hardly drive my car

The first ballast provided with the P46 lasted me one year...the replacement ones are the ones that dont last.

2 replacements burnt, that sucks even more....

Well everyone knows mine burned only 1 day after installing em. Now I'm on 3 or 4 I think (new one should be here monday)

dont forget to post on monday when they burn again...lol

I'm using these for a year+. knock on wood no problems so far

guys try buying the ballasts from vibelights.com. they work great, and i haven't had a problem for 6 months now.

which one did you order??
looks like the cheapest one with shipping is $12....umnitza was charging me $10 just for shipping!!.....hmmmm...makes me wonder if it really was covered under warranty or i just got suckered into paying for product and shipping.

i got the cheapest one. like sstainba said. it was 16.50 for 2 when i bought it.

You were indeed suckered into paying for a product and shipping under them. Vibelights.com sells replacement ballasts for much cheaper, and have some that are even BETTER than the ones provided by unitza. I've found that the so-called "lifetime warranty" is a sales gimmick, especially when you have to pay for more to replace a bad part (like ballasts) than it would to just buy it outright. In contrast, I've bought DDE Titaniums/Raptors, (available from uniqueeurodesign.com), and those do come with real "lifetime warranty" that doesn't cost a SINGLE penny to replace anything. They don't require deposits, charge shipping costs, nor require pictures and other proof that their product is really defective or at fault.


Anyway, bookmark vibelights.com for getting replacement ballasts in the future than to overpay for shipping and for a replacement ballast through that vendor.

^...hmmmmm....they seem exactly like the ones umnitza sent me as a replacement.

after switching to prolumen bulbs and ballasts, I have not had a single problem...

well they have an aluminum casing that keeps out water and heat, so that's a plus. iono i haven't had a problem yet, that's just my experience. i mean, it may just be better than you shelling out money for a new ballast all the time.

i freaking bought Pred Chron at bimmerfest at the bimmian booth and they sent me the ballasts with out the bullet and the plastic covering that hooks up to the harness what should i do
