E46 Armrest Delete, Any Options?

I want to get rid of my armrest. It gets in the way when it down, and it looks bad when its up, my personal opinion of course.

Does anyone know if they were any E46's that came without armrests, and if so, a price to order the rear portion of the console without it?

I think the base e46's in Europe came with out them. Likle the 320's, but I could be wrong

you need the entire console, from the hazard warning lights up to the rear ashtray. the non armrest console is just shorter, missing the armrest mount. You will also need 2 handbrake brackets as the armrest models have them integrated into the armrest itself.

Ebay is full of the armrest-less consoles

I hated the arm rest as well. Since I had done the swap on my old e36 M3 a few years ago when I had it, I could not wait to do it again for my ZHP... so I did the swap on my car (04 330i ZHP). It took about 15 minutes. In addition to the new shorter console, you need this bracket:

13 BRACKET 1 51168235570 $1.22

It allows you to mount the back end of the handbrake and the console.

The new is about 2-3 inches shorter so you will also need to comb the carpeting to get rid of the line in the carpet where the old console was pressing down.

I have my old unit for sale if anyone wants to upgrade to an armrest. It is black.

WHAT!!!! I have a 330 I am from UK.... And I would love a front armrest the centre console without it looks so bare.... keep it unless you wanna swap...??

Ill swap with anyone over in Europe if you guys want, but it has to be the left-hand drive version, otherwise the ebrake will be on the wrong side...let me know

Early models of the 323 without an interior upgrade came without the armrest. You should be able to sell yours with no problem after you make the swap.

YOu can get vorsteiner's CF console

It is discontinued, but I think euroautoworks has 3 in stock! PM Henry@euroautoworks and he'll take care of you!!!

this is a picture of the console in silver carbon fiber but euroautoworks has it in black for sure and maybe silver. Just call/ PM Henry and check

mine didnt have one and i bought one not too long ago. install was easy so taking it out would be easy. i love my armrest so you guys must be crazy.
