Clam Chowder

i worked in a seafood restaurant for a while, all the lobster that would fall out of the refigerated droors onto the floor and rot... so nasty. since i left some 8 years ago, they've been closed 3 times for health issues.

![]() dont call it frisco! but yes, i agree with that statement...chowder from the bay area (more specifically any seafood restaurant at fisherman's wharf is AMAZING). Clam chowder + San Francisco's famous sourdough bread = ftw

![]() Soups especially. They don't exactly throw out the extra at the end of the night guys, that **** gets leftover until the next day. Would YOU want to eat 3-4 day old clam chowder?

they also make 30 gal batches of 1000 island dressing... you'd have to remove the skin from it daily... i hate restaurants

well
when you go to places in Newport or clam shack places like iggys, i don't think you have to worry about the freshness and quality, considering they go through MANY gallons of chowder a day, not to mention........ 4-5 day old clam chowder isn't bad at all as long as it is kept refrigerated ![]() but who's to say how healthy any kind of food nowadays steak? yea its great, but how many people touch that steak to see if it really is med rare the chef.......... how clean are his hands the waiter what if they want to make sure its cooked perfect, you know their hands aren't even close to cleananyways for my lunch today |
