I recently Purchased a 318 tds (year 2000 model E36). It Had sustained water damage (fresh water) but was drivable.
It now does not start, as a result, the ECU has been changed, the engine loom and the immobiliser box, Oh also one of the solenoid switches (for good measure!) Still not sure what the problem is. There doesn't seem to be any diesal comming out of the injectors into the engine. Someone suggested that there could be air in the system and so was advised to attemp on cranking the engine, a dozen times or so (i'm currently on 6 times, as the battery keeps going flat!). Anyway, where should I go from here? Thanks in anticipation. Jay, UK |

IF there's no diesel coming out of the injectors the next obvious step is to check your fuel pump.
