CarPC recommendations!!
Was thinking of installing a carPC. I have good knowledge of the ins and outs of computers, not so much electrics in a car. Was going to build one from scratch myself, buying a flipup unit, 7" touchscreen, then modifying laptop components to fit around it.
I then found these kits online: http://linitx.com/viewcategory.php?catid=201&pp=52,201 Anyone any experience with these kits? They seem like a good price and would save a lot of time. Anyone recommend any other kits or similar? Also, if anyone has a CarPC installed post some pics pls! I found an old post with a CarPC installed: Quote:

Just saw this post... That was one of my setups. I ended up ditching the Head Unit and running sound out of my PC. In my opinion, that was a mistake. I'm actually in the process of adding the "Factory" fit stuff back in. I plan on using an In-Dash VGA touchscreen and an Alpine Single Din head-unit in the factory location.
