"Universal" meaning the "cheap version" of the M3 bumper that vendors carry. The "Universal" bumper is the one that's advertised for both a sedan and coupe.

exactly, universal meaning that it is for the "lower priced" bumpers, for the ones that are for both sedans and coupes, and not specific to just one body style.

In the event that someone who purchases and installs this lip on their M3 bumper winds up damaging the CF portion of the lip during their daily driving, is just the CF portion of the lip removable/replaceable?

CF portion is same as before, however, it now comes with 3 additional screws on the bottom end.
