custom designs

hey kinda random question..for all that have made amazing trunk setups....i was wondering where you bought those kinda pieces to make the trunk. Such as alluminum pieces..or bmw decals and stuff....or like some guy has a huge M logo in his trunk. Is there some site

Usually the customer comes up with the basic design of what he wants, and then you take the idea to a custom sound shop who will implement it the best way they can. I remember once I had my cap hooked up like a bomb in my trunk. I use to live on a military base and this was post sept. 11 so all cars had to be checked while going on base. Well the bomb design didn't help me out much and I was forced to change. I had a friend with a mini who put an aluminum cap over the sub and then punched a hole in the cap and peeled the aluminum back away from the center giving it a look of the power of the sub ripped through the aluminum. The ideas are from the owners... but you might give more control and say to the installer which might lower your bill if they sponsor you.

Alright sounds good..about how much do they usually go for..like a custom job on average..or like a range of prices..thanks for your help

Shoot... the price range is very broad... I mean from a couple hundred to thousands. If you want a custom box made out of fiberglass, ported the works... it gets expensive. Add light effects, visual aesthetics and ya tack on a couple hundred more. I have never experienced a custom fiberglass yet... something in the works. I've made my own custom boxes from MFD wood... but this was to hold me over until I could get a professional job done. But if you are really serious about a custom job... then you might want to look into getting sponsored and further more... going to the shows around your area to show off your sponsors' work.
