Hello Autocrossers:

It seems like we just completed our 2010 Runoff Autocross and crowned our 2010 Champion, Ian Allegoren. Congratulations Ian! And thank you to BMW South County and Oceanside Motorsports for supporting our Autocross program and providing an unforgettable Runoff car respectively (see pic).

Our next Autocross is 3 weeks away on Sunday, August 1st. Online registration opens this Saturday at 12:00 am (midnight Friday night)
at --> BMWCCA - San Diego Chapter MotorSportRegistration.

This is the Neue Klasse Autocross because it debuts our new car class structure. A brand new T Class has been added between the 6-cylinder and M classes by combining the turbo 6-cylinder BMWs with the early M cars (E30 M3 and 6-cylinder M5s and M6s). Well add a total of 4 new trophies, so maybe one of them will be yours! Other classes stay the same, but we have also adjusted what is permitted in Stock and Modified. You can review the details of the new classes and find the right one for your car at Autocross-classes.

This Autocross will be in the big West lot at Qualcomm Stadium, with the paddock back by the Trolley bridge. We will set up a well-defined, long, wide course and have Instructors available for all drivers. I appreciate the feedback from drivers in the last event when we tried out a more open course (ala SCCA-style), and we will take your suggestions to heart for future course designs. As before, we will hold up to 20 spots for non-BMWs that are registered online and we have 100 spots total on a first-come, first-served basis. Your $60 entry fee includes breakfast items and coffee plus lunch. As an all-volunteer event, we count on all drivers to work their scheduled session on the course so everyone has a safe experience. Make sure you arrive by 7:30 and bring your BMW CCA membership card to show at the gate.

See you at the Q!
