Interior lights and cluster LED "LOTS OF PICTURES!"

I have ordered some stuff to make my e46 good looking inside
I think the red/orange lights in the cluster and everything is boring.. SO something need to be done. So i ordered new led for the cluster/climacontrol/cd player and multi wheel. A lot of theese..

When i was surfing the internet for some more stash i ordered this altso have someone tested this lights from bimmian ??








I can post some pictures when i'm done with everything. Maybe a week or two

Trust me the red light is easier on the eyes during long haul driving. If you've ever spent 7+ hours driving at night non stop I would take the red over anything (I mean I think the blue and white lights look nice but they start to hurt your eyes after a while at least for me).

Seriously theres nothing wrong with it. If I see you succeed doing the entire car with this blue led. I'll do the same because in those pictures the thing looks amazing !

Yes its very amazing but i think it would take some time doing this.. taking apart everything. Switches, cluster, steering wheel, cd player, clima control.. mutch disassembly and assembly and some hours of soldering.. What you need most is a hell lot of patience

Yeahh tons of patience my friend took his e90 headlight baked them and installed led angel eyes he had to solder each led one by one till he got them done it took him about 4 days about 6hrs a day.

And I would do this over the summer if anything. when I'm on vacation and have tons of time to do this

i have 2 weeks at work and 4 weeks free so i got plenty of time to do this but it is time-consuming

I wish I had time and know-how to do this project.... a lighter more aqua blue would be awsomeeeee.

So here is what i have done today.. i always forget to take pictures.. but here are some. DON'T start on this project unless you have a lot of patience and a feew weeks off work Sorry the bad pictures.. some from the crappy iphone camera. New pictures will come when i'm finished

First i soldered 3mm led in the roof. looks like this.





And then som soldering on the light switch for the headlights. THIS was a project...
SMD leds..



And the push buttons for the fog lights had to be unsoldered. because the LED is in the button.



here is the button unsoldered from the mainboard.



To get out the LED here i had to drill away the old soldering.. i dont think this is usual solder tin.. Nott possible to unsolder. Here is it drilled

so far so good. this took me about 6 hours. i was wondering to start with the cd player now. but my head says NO

i like it i had to order som other leds for the multifunctional steering wheel. Because they were not plcc-2 leds.. they look like this

they are called 1206 SMD LED's and they are TINY. a really patience work..

Hey just did my dash and steering, working on the other small stuff now, what is the bulb name that u used for the fog switch? And what was the bigger one for?

How did you change the lock/unlock switch light to blue? What kind of light is it?

The unlock button is a 5mm LED, its the same as the 3mm LED. I don't have any pictures of it. but it is not is wery hard. Just open the switch box. unsolder the 5 mm LED and replace it with a new one

But i was checking out some more switches now. The seat heaters and the DSC switch. I think i have a problem here.. they are so tiny that i can't even see them hope i get the right LED for it when the new ones appear in the mail.
