New Carbon Wrapping Project: Mercedes C63 AMG

Hey;

Was just given the complete trim interior trim from a buddies C63 AMG. Wants it done in black carbon fiber cloth (no 3M DiNoc here).

So far, have applied carbon fiber cloth and first coat of resin. Parts in pictures below are at VERY early stage and still require trimming and alot of work before they are complete, but they're in process.

The one really cool thing I've tried and it's worked so far, is wrapping the 3 centre dash pieces (center air vents, radio surround, etc) is wrapping all 3 pieces using a single piece of cloth, so when they are complete, there will be one continuous weave through all 3 pieces....

Here are the first pictures (alomg with a couple of the interior before the process began.

Still need to tackle the gauge surround (big black piece around speedo, tach, etc gauges) and he's pushing to get Steptronic paddles done too, but concerned about operational interference and functionality if its wrapped.

The pictures REALLY don't do the parts justice as they look really rough now, But I expect them to look real sweet when done (especially the centre control centre)

Looking forward to that as well. Started trimming the pieces last night and they are taking shape!! Brought someone in to resin and sand during the day now; my focus will be on wrapping and spraying. Should be able to wrap 40% more parts this way as the resining multiple coats is time consuming and this way that will be done and parts will be ready for spraying when I get to the shop or the workspace will be free to allow me to wrap more parts!

Finished trimming centre console sections.... think they came out pretty nice so far. need to be sanded and 3-4 more coats of resin before they're ready to be clear coated, so disregard finish @ this stage...

Finally got these parts finished. Had some family issues that took me away from the wrapping for about a week, but parts are now finished and just need to re-assembled and final trim (removal of last excess resin, etc.) and they're shipping.

The seat surrounds and centre console are coming along nicely. Hope to ship this weekend. They've all had 3 coats of resin and are being resined again today while I'm @ office. Should be ready for wet sanding tomorrow or Friday latest! Will email pics later today!

Hey, I promised and I never go back on a promise; just got a little swamped with Parental issues and put me behind for a while. Virtually caught up now and all in process sets have or are shipping in next 2 days. Have to finish them as I have the complete interior from a Lexus IS250 and an e46 coupe in the shop and a e46 RHD drive set from the UK on route. Also, need to finish your stuff, several individual pieces and the Honda CBR 600 complete set! Have fulltime employee as of last 3 weeks now too in order to be able to keep up. They are dong the resin and sanding and I'm doing the wrapping, trimming and spraying. It's working out quite well and is allowing me to take on more work and complete in a more timely manner.

Damn, you're almost a fulltime student and fulltime worker! I got that bezel, I need to upload some pictures. I have been slacking with that haha. I promised the forum pictures of my door panels for months, just haven't gotten around to it lol
