headlight questions

on my 02 xi i love the headlights but i dont know much about them since ive only had the car for about a week. i see pics all the time with the car with only the 4 halos on but on mine when the cars on, theyre both on+ the center light which doesnt really look as good as the pics. i curently removed the bulb to see what it would look like but it cause the light on the dash to stay on. there has to be a proper way i am unaware of.. also i notice my passenger side halos are super (hid) blueish white but the driver side is yellowish is spots. how can i make my driverside like the passenger?

1. What's the proper way? You have to reflash your LCM to disable the DRL (daytime running light, i.e. the high beam lights).

2. You have mismatching angel eyes. Grab some Khoalty angel eyes.

3. This would have been better asked in the lighting forum.

It could be that the LEDs used in your rings came from different batches from the manufacturer. This would be something you might want to take this up with the previous owner and see what he says about the mismatching color.

If you want a solution, either replace all of the LEDs with ones from the same batch from the same manufacturer (LED manufacturer, not angel eye ring manufacturer/seller) OR you can buy new angel eye rings.
