rear suspension

have a 2003 330ci, recently replace front control arms and bushings. All of a sudden the rear of the car, over every bump feels like its falling aonpart. Major vibrations like the back lid is loose.

Rear Strut replacement common, it just sounds/feels like its not struts? Any thoughts on other known issues in the rear of these cars. Every bump cringes my jaw..... A good analogy of the sound is like a subwoofer that is mounted badly, every sound out of it vibrates you know???

Any help appreciated!

rear shock tower mounts. Research it. You can get a set of heavy duty Meyle ones for around $50 I think. UUC has em... the OEM ones just don't hold up long for some reason.. I had the exact same issue as you and it was my rear shock tower mounts. When I took them out, they were destroyed, and that's what was making that knock over bumps that makes you cringe..

You might need new RTABs or Rear Trailing Arm Bushings. How old are they?

I recntly replaced mine after 57K and the rear feels more stable and less knocking around during manuevering or ridng over bumps.
