ZHP Suspension Upgrade Kit

I just purchased the ZHP Suspension upgrade kit from ECS tuning (Got it for a steal @ $499). It will be here by the end of the week. I've been looking on the forum and can't seem to find any DIYs for someone going from a stock regular suspension to a ZHP upgrade. Does anyone know of a write-up somewhere that I can reference while doing my upgrade this weekend???

Thanks in advance!

I figured as much. I suppose I should now clarify. Does anyone have a DIY for the removal?

To be more precise, the front sway bar is actually 23.5 mm per BMW.

Joe, if my '03 (12/02) 330CiC already has the sport package, are new springs really necessary with the ZHP kit, or can I run the ones I've got?

Thanks!

Michael

They are not needed, however they are designed to be match with the BMW Performance shocks within this kit. Its never a bad idea to change everything out all at one time while your in there. At these prices its hard not to just do the kit. The ZHP arms alone are $569.32...

According to our BMW ETK it is 24mm. I know realoem is showing 23.5mm however our ETK is the same as the dealer. Realoem is not 100% accurate all of the time, however it is still a great resource.

In this case, realoem happens to match the actual diameter of my ZHP's stock front sway bar as well as the dimension molded into the stock bushing itself. Perhaps the ETK isn't 100% accurate either. Presumably it's a rounding issue.

We measured a ZHP bar here in house and it came out to be 23.88mm which we and presumably BMW rounded up to 24mm.

So with rounding it can be taken either direction.

Thanks for all of the orders everyone!

And what does the dimension molded into the sway bar bushing say?

Happen to have the sway bar and bushings from one of these kits sitting in my garage (sports package touring already had an as-big or bigger sway bar, so did not install that part of the kit). The bushings have 23.5 molded into them.

The question was rhetorical and directed at ECS as I knew the answer all along... but thanks for the independent confirmation.

Add a BMW Sport Suspension to your E46
If you are looking to upgrade your stock suspension to increase handling and performance, this new ZHP Suspension Kit from Genuine BMW is perfect for the job, allowing you to toss that old suspension setup out onto the curb.
This kit is a replacement for the Performance Package on the BMW 330i and for those that don't own this vehicle, this kit is a great upgrade, as they feature solid ball joints and are more durable than the stock setup. These will provide improved handling, steering response and a slightly stiffer ride.
This kit works on all of the non-all-wheel-drive E46 3-Series models, including the 325i, 325Ci, 328i, 328Ci, 323i, 323Ci, 330i, 330Ci as well as 330i/Ci ZHP.
This kit includes your control arms, shocks & struts, bump stops, 24mm front sway bar & bushings, and all related hardware for an easy install.
When purchasing this new ZHP Suspension Kit for you BMW, ECS Tuning recommend getting a set of H&R Sport Springs to match.
