Long Island,NY in my profile, it's because I have a summer house Upstate, so I'll be involved up there a lot during the summers too.

Where do you consider upstate NY? No offense but I know alot of people from LI and anything north of the city is upstate to them.

Exactly! I'm from Warwick in orange county about an hour from the city and I consider Albany/catskills upstate.

Actually, you're a wee bit off. Syracuse and Utica are considered Cental NY, not Upstate.

Personally, my family has a house in Lake Placid, so I'm waaaaay Upstate.

When you drive thru the Bx all the road sign suggest that the next exits are Upstate NY...so naturally people think anything north of the Bx is Upstate NY.
