Tarmac's 2nd M3...

New pics on post #70
------------------------------------------------------
Technically anyway...

Long story short:
I bought a 1995 M3 back in late June, my girlfriend liked it, needed a more reliable car than hers (it was basically done); so we came to the conclusion on Sunday, Aug 14th that she would take it... and I would get a 2003 Ti Silver M3 (SMG). Good thing I was already lining up some cars to purchase... I bought it Aug 15th! I love manual cars, but since I've been injured (left leg of course), I haven't been able to drive a manual trans for awhile. Then came the need for an SMG... Best of both worlds!

Most recent, with the new ModBargins CF GTR hood, CF CSL trunk, Matte Black Kidney grills and Matte Black side grills:

First day with the new tint.

3rd day with the car.

1st day with the car.

My other car...

JK!

My girlfriends M3

Lol, gotcha!

Once I recover, which I'm hoping will be soon... but I've been saying that since April... I'd like to pick up another manual car; I'm thinking a Countryman S (JCW edition hopefully; when it comes out), since she likes Minis and I like AWD. That or an STI again.

Or both

Nice nice, I drove stick right out of recovery in my Jetta and even with just controlling gas was hard and I still cramp up from time to time. Dislocated my knee and tore ligaments about over a year ago now.. I could imagine clutching would be much tougher. Enjoy your SMG at least you will shifting really fast..
Now get to modding that beast

I definitely can't wait to start modding... I've already done quite a bit of research, on power performance mods; I want to stay N/A. I also know, for the most part, what cosmetics (involving lightweight stuff mostly) I want to get.

I just need to figure out all my suspension (sways, coils, bushings, mounts, links, arms, etc). I think I'm going to go with Ground Control sways, VAC engine and trans mounts... other than that I'm not too sure yet.

Goal is to have a decently powered N/A engine with some good handling, stopping power and at the top of the list.... lightweight; I want the best power to weight ratio, for a DD.

I'd like to get to a power to weight ratio similar, or better, than my previous car. I had an 09 STI: 3140 lbs (3090 with half tank of gas); 300 AWHP/ 340 AWTQ. I still had lightweight parts sitting around to put on that car.... Then I sold it

Parts that I'm planning on getting before the end of the year:
- CF Evolve Airbox (better response, power and less weight than stock airbox and intake)
- Sparco EVO seats (2) (19 lbs each, stock are 65 lbs I believe)
- CF Door cards (guess is they weight around 4-6 lbs each, stock is around 20 lbs each)
- CF roof (I don't have a sun roof from factory... but it looks cool and weighs about 13 lbs less)

Hello!

I noticed you have a CF interior; any pics of what you have done?

I'm looking to do something of that sort, unfortunately the seats won't be cf.... can't really justify $1900 seats. Just door cards, center console, maybe some dash components...a CF dash would be sweet

You need painted bumper reflectors!

I'll take the amber ones!
