Car key

Having problems with my key. Sometimes won't lock when pressing the button but if I put the key in the door to lock the car the led doesn't flash does this mean my alarm is not armed... any help would be feet thanks.

My car is a 98 model e46 one of the first...

this might be worth asking... did you check if the battery is dead in the remote?

Ye its fine cos it unlocks an boot unlock is fine

When my battery is on the way out, it will unlock doors/trunk but will not lock them, this goes for a few days and then nada. Changing the battery and seeing if that helps might be worth doing.

But the other thing is why does my led not flash if I lock the door with the key... is it still alarmed.
