2004 325CI revs up about 1000 rmps when I brake !

Ok this is a puzzle for me guys, with the car at a full stop if I step on the brake pedal the car revs up about 1000 rpms. I have 3 possible culprits:

1.- MAF sensor
2.- Air Filter (I already swap it)
3.- Vacuum leak

..

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Vacuum leak on or around the vacuum line for the brake booster? Just a very rough shot in the dark on that, but it is a guess.

I had the same thing happen to my car. At the time my alternator had went bad and my car wasnt getting enough power to things like the radio and other electronics. So i replaced the alternator and after that it never happened again. Maybe electronic but i have no clue.
