Horsepowerfreaks Ethanol Z4M build

There it is, the build has started...

I will use ethanol instead of racefuel.

Looks great , horsepower figures on the injectors are off though , BSFC is for gas and sheet is for a 4-can setup, id say those injectors are capable of around 600bhp

i thought thoes numbers looked a bit omptimistic also but i wasnt going to mention it as im no expert

Actually at 5 bar rail pressure those should be 1440cc injectors. And on e85 should be good for about 1000-1100 flywheel hp or about 900-950 whp. (max duty cycle) remember e85 makes about 11% more power with no added timing or boost.

I'm running those very same injectors and have made 850rwhp with them.

Oh yeah i was thinking static 3bar pressure, dont forget e85 needs 30% more fuel , so an injector that flows 200hp on gas only flows 160hp on E85
(note i said a 4can setup as that what the sheet specified)
Also running them at 100% DC isnt recommended , i try to never get above 80%
Even though newer injectors are less prone to failing i've had bad experiences in the past cap'ing the injectors

yeah but e85 makes more power so its not exactly counting apples to apples as far as fuel volume and power. Id say using your example if gas flowed 200hp then e85 would be closer to 175hp but thats just me bench racing.

What i mean is at the same power level E85 will need to flow 20-30% more fuel to run at lambda 1

I think we're arguing ove the same point , just my translation capabilities are messing it up

I have those injectors also. How many cc are they?
