Parrot Bluetooth with OEM Vert Mic?

I have the Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth/Connects2 setup, which works fine, except the installer put the mic up high near the rearview mirror. Too much wind noise up there, does anyone know how to connect the Parrot mic to the BMW mic built into the steering wheel? (Also going to post in the I.C.E. forum).

I wasnt aware there was a mic in the steering wheel...

I installed the Parrot kit and I placed the mic that it came with above the rearview mirror in the light fixture where the stock bmw mic goes... The sound quality (according to those that I talk to) when the top is closed is perfect, however when the top is down they can barely hear me, I would literally have to sit up and talk directly into that area.

Come warmer weather I am going to place the Parrot mic on the steering column right in front of the gauge cluster and see if that makes a difference.

I am sorry I cannot offer you any insight into how to hook up the Parrot into the BMW mic since I dont have one

I'd like to see how you run the wire and how you get it to stay on the column. I'm wondering if you could just run it that way and just cut the wires to the two mics and splice them together, so the mic in the steering wheel column is active. BTW, the mics for the steering wheel column are still available for purchase, not that expensive. Part #84316937391.

Just to update (and bump) my old thread, what I decided to do was run the parrot mic to where the oem steering column mic was and fit it into that space (taking out the oem mic). It works just fine.
