i bought some new slotted drilled rotors from uuc and I want to put them on today but i didnt buy pads.
pads confuse me...i lie to you not they have some many different combinations of them all i want is a pad that has great stopping power without the over kill of dust! should i go ceramic semi metallic...??? and if possible is it safe to say i can get good quality pads from autozone or advanced auto?

If you track, then no, it isn't possible. if you just drive around, any ceramic from any of the reputable manufacturers will be fine. I've used Akebono and Hawk with great success personally.
Drilled/slotted won't really do anything but chew up your pads faster.

Drilled & slotted rotors are for track running where heat buildup is a problem and the pads are going to wear very quickly anyway. Jim |

Also, Bavarian Autosport (www.bavauto.com) has a good guideline for their different brake pads that they offer.
