Any good radar detectors other than V1? Any V1s cheaper than $399?
I find the V1 really expensive....any cheaper place on gettin them?

can get a escort 8500 for $299. or get a referb. V1 for $350

you can actually get good V1 deals on eBay sometimes... personally I wouldn't go with any other detector, the V1 has paid itself off more times than I can count. While you're at it you might also want to get the remote display, well worth the extra $$$.
V1 I'm sure you can also find similar deals on yahoo/amazon auction pages |

With that in mind, you can find some deals on Ebay (as posted above) but make sure you know which generation V1 you are buying. Early ones do not have laser detection, and there have been upgrades through the years. Ask for the serial number and check with Valentine as to that one's age. Another alternative is call Valentine and ask about their refurb program. Pricing depends on availability, but it's a significant savings. Good luck! - Rob

Get the 8500. the $100 u save over the similar V1 can be put toward mods, just be sure to keep it on Highway mode, i learned this the hard way...
