FS: Non-Hydraulic Steering Rack
Was originally from a Z4. Not sure if it was the M or Not. It is in good shape, no play in it. Boots are in good condition. $200.00 picked up or + shipping.

Just a question. Is non hydraulic steering better than hydraulic? What's the benefit?

It is a matter of preference. Also performance wanted. You can eliminate drag on the motor by being able to remove the power steering pump. You will gain a better "feel" of the steering in the car as it will be un-assisted. People who are looking to build a lighter car, a weekend track car, or full on race car for that matter, or people who are just tired of there E46 leaking power steering fluid all over
would change theirs out for a non-hydraulic rack.
