Supercharged E39 M5......

Thought I would share a few shots taken by dkfx photography a few weeks ago. We are getting together again to do some additional pictures of the engine bay and the interior..... ( I posted some none professional shots at the bottom just to show what it looks like.)

Specs:

2001 BMW M5 ~ Jet Black/Executive Leather
RMS Stage 2 SC Kit installed by Buckhead Imports Performance - Currently 556rwhp/456rwtq on 9.5psi, adding headers and removing the cats in Oct, right before 4ngiefest.

Yes, the bumper doesn't line up properly because it is a rep bumper. Once I get the heat exchanger totally mounted the way I want, I will be switching over to an OEM bumper. I had to hack and slash away at the rep to make the HE fit. I now have a template for the OEM bumper once I fit it.

dinan much? by btmlinedan

Will be taking professional pics soon of the engine bay.....

I'm surprised, a few other people have mentioned the same thing. I originally didn't like them either when I first got them done, but it grew on me. I may end up removing the dark tint and going with someone a little lighter, but that's pretty low on the priority list right now.

I think if you remove the tint on the turn signals it will be perfect.

Wow! Impressive!

Nothing really to comment on other than some very miniscule details, maybe removing or relocating the buckhead sticker to the quarter window with the others. And either completely removing the tail light tint, or maybe just the tint over the red portion.

That's one thing I personally can't stand, partial tinting. All or none, but that's just my personal opinion, which everyone is entitled to. Like I said, I will eventually get around to it, but I have other priorities; headers, decat, brakes, maybe some meth, or eventually building the engine (lowering compression) and increasing the boost.

I'd keep them bright red if I were you. Any light tint and it just looks dirty imo. But damn nice car

Black paint absorbs heat, exactly what you don't want to do to a heat exchanger..... Plus my car is anything but a sleeper. I LIKE it being noticed.

This is one of the graphs during my break in. We dyno'd it the day before Timmayfest here in Columbus when I laid down 556rwhp and 456rwtq. I have multiple witnesses if there is any question, we just didn't think to keep the sheet, there were several cars being done that day, it was a bit of a clusterfux.

You can see above 6k RPM that it is choking. Once I get the headers put on and the cats out, it should smooth right out. At first we thought is was starving for fuel, but I have the Aeromotive 11140 fuel pump installed and we checked the pressure while making our runs. Fuel checks out fine. No boost leaks either.
