bird sh!t stains
last weekend i took a trip with a friend and left my car in a visitor's parking area of his apt. complex. when i got back, my car was bombed with bird sh!t, leaves, berrys, all kinds of stuff..
well i was very busy at work this week, and there was some on-and-off rain a few days so i didnt get around to washing my car. this morning i went out to finally wash it, and i noticed that i have these spots all over my car from where the bird **** was...they look like big water marks kind of...they're almost discolored a bit (my car is black) im pretty upset because i cant get them off.. does anyone know what i could do? im thinking at this point my only option might be to have the car professionally buffed/detailed. im not opposed to that but if i could get them off myself it would help me save a few $$$ right now |

that would have been helpful...but i did not have an opportunity to get the bird crap off the car in a timely manner. I was away for a few days while it happened so the crap sat on there in the sun for about 3 days. The following week it rained a couple of times and I got very busy at work....I successfully cleaned the stuff off yesterday, but it left these big watermark looking discolored stains

They will probaly require polish / compound or wet-sand to remove after that amount of time as the acidic content has etched the paint surface Last edited by TOGWT; 08-21-2012 at 04:48 AM. |

Sound like it went right through the clear coat. Not muck you can do here, but take it to a professional.
