Unhappy HELP!! 4:3 oem upgrade to 16:9 aftermarket!!

I currently have a 4:3 OEM head unit for my 01 330ci and will be getting a aftermarket 16:9. Does anyone know of a DIY link that will assist me in making mine work with the new unit? Do I need any additional hardware. The cables can't plug right up. Do I need new cables in order to make this work? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Looks like a dynavin or a clone, no you need a harness to convert running from the back of your car. It is not supposed to plug into the OEM screen harness which is pictured.

That would be because you have bought an aftermarket unit which is not OEM BMW and therefore will not use the same plugs as the BMW OEM unit

It does not use any of the plugs that are in the existing headunit

If its a Dynavin then you need the Fakra cable to go to the boot and back to the head unit.
