Perhaps you should stop responding. It's a no-win for you here. :dunno:

Out of curiosity what led you to being attacked? I live in a wooded area and see them all the time at night .. never been bothered by one but I've heard if you come upon one and he has no where to run he/she could attack. Also heard if they have offspring near by they can be aggressive.

i was washing a car at dusk. it approached me from under the car. it chased me wildly into my house. it was a whole ordeal with animal control eventually being called while i was locked in my room.
long story short, it was killed. tested for rabies. and i had to have a first round of rabies shots which sucked hard.
raccoons should not be out during daylight, should not approach you, and should not enter an unknown place like my house.
all these things combined led them to believe it had rabies and it couldn't think correctly. however turned out not to have it.
thank the lord. that first round of shots sucked.

it didn't seem really "aggressive". i would more describe it as it wanting to play. it wasn't like what you see on tv like when they stand up and hiss. it grabbed onto my leg and just kinda chased me relentlessly. never really showing any true signs of aggression. this did not seem normal and i'm sure it's not.

all you people are pvssies. I'd kill it with my bare hands. Ah, the helpless cough of a dying racoon in my arms as I choke the life out of it.
