0-60 0-80 he

I was recently pulled over for allegedly doing 81 in a 30. I have court tomorrow and I will try to explain my case on how it's impossible for me to go 0-80 from a stop sign a quarter mile. I looked online and I cant seem to seem to find how many seconds my car a BMW 330i 2002 stock can go 0-80 . I absolutely know I wasn't going 81 and I plead not guilty to my tickets. Can anyone help ?!?

If I can't prove myself innocent I will possible have my license suspended .

The 1/4 mile time of a 330i is somewhere around 14.5-15 seconds at 94-98mph. So you could have been going that speed if it was 1/4 mile.

My 330Ci did 0 to 92 in a quarter mile.... when it was completely stock.

I don't mean to be rude (and I do wish you luck getting the ticket thrown out), but this seems moot. There is no way that the officer clocked you at 81 when you were actually doing 30. Even if he or she over-estimated your speed by some 50%, you would still be going 54 at the time - which is 80% over the limit!

At this point, I would look for leniency (pay the fines keep the license) and or hope the officer doesn't show.

I think you're in lawyer territory with this one. I had a lawyer get a 75 in a 30 reduced to a 200$ fine and no points.
I have to agree with lmr2wil on this one. Even if you weren't going 81, you were probably still going WAAAY over the speed limit.

How fast were you actually going?

You could get like 10 quarter mile time slips to use as evidence... Much more believable than just one.

BUT, those time slips will only be relevant if the court assumes that you stopped at the sign.

Lawyer up.

Trade someone for their slushbox and show it to the judge

The speed limit was 30 I do believe I was speeding but I was only doing about 50 not 81 .. Hopefully I can get out of this ticket

Also those drag times people quoted are prolly if you take off crazy fast with burning rubber smell?

If a cop thought you were going 80 you were most likely going closer to 80 than 30. Even if you were going 60 you were still doubling the speed limit.

Hope the judge doesn't think BMW drivers are dbags because you're not helping any.

First all , I hate when people like you come onto a post with negativity first of all this is my first ticket and for all you know it could all be a mistake . Don't judge me as a driver on being a dbag if you don't know anything about me . I know I was doing above 30 but I wasn't near 80 in the distance I had I know if I had the pedal to the floor or not . I'm far from a dbag bro , you comment was very irrelevant in helping me with my question. And was a dbag move of you to judge a driver over a ticket. It could all be a misunderstanding and his radar gun could have been incorrect .
