Closing: roof stops half way

Hi there,

I have had my roof down today in my 2002 330ci and got home and tried to close it and it gets a quarter of the way up and stops
Is there a manual I can close it to fix this issue for now?

I have a 2002 330ci it does that the motor in this thing sucks bad. I changed the motor once and aligned the tracks 2 times. Just try to turn off the car on then close it usually always works GL!

I have tried to turn the car off and try again but gets stuck at the same point every time grrrrrrr
Is there a manual way I can put it up?
My car sits outside and it looks like it is going to rain today

cant even put it up manually, right hand side of the roof seems to get stuck

Did you release the top mechanism? There is a button under the rear seat. You need to push that to allow manual operation of top.

The emergency manual closing procedure is in your owners manual.
If you do not have an owners manual, you can download one from here

Search this forum for reasons why your top might not close.

I bet the motor has gone

Are they expensive to replace?
