Two completely different cars. Drive both and see which one you like best.

M3 vs standard 3series hmm
I would say, 335 are pretty damn good cars. But you have arguably the best m3 ever made in the e46M |

E46 M3 Will never DIE.
E46 M3 handle better and stronger especially for a track. But if you looking for fast car pick 335i, more torque and a lot easier to tune, just by a chip intake and exhaust you can beat a new stock v8 m3. Personally have 06 e46 m3 and I wouldn't go for 335i, I drove friend's 335i stock and is fun car to drive and another option is 4 door , but keep in mind that e46 m3 is a class, performance, sound, look and power all in one. Another thing is, that the E46 M3 is almost 12 years old car and still beating the newer 335i. Now you just have to decide which one you want ! |

M3. After 3 years, still leaves a smile on my face. 335 felt just like a car with some power. Handling sucked.

335 Is a great NEW powerful sick car. You only need $500 for a JB4 Software to gain 100 Hp. The E46 M3 have the ///M status, also known as BMW fast & sexy collection 01-06.

Search and read the 8 thousand other threads about this exact same thing. They're two different cars. Period. They were made for two different segments and are two different generations. Drive them.

If you will be driving it as a DD I would get a 335. Also if you are not getting a Manual the 335 is better for a daily. Not saying the smg is bad my car is smg and I love it, it's just not as smooth at a auto.

I owned a 330i and now i have an E46 M3. Two different driving machines. Once you drive the m3 you will discover that performance is much better. Specially the quick reaction in the highway.

Piss on it, I say get a Porsche 996 X50 or 996 Turbo S, which is the same car really. 450 horse and 457 ft/lb torque. 12.8s - ish ETA on the 1/4 mile dash.

Came from 07 e92 328 to my current 07 e90 335, and just got into a 03 e46 m3 a few months back. I honestly can say the upgrade if you will from an NA to TT is ridiculous. Almost as if it had no balls. Now I use my 335 and m3 as my DD (swap em out every other day) and the m3 puts wood in my pants. It's a different kind of fast. The 335 is still fun to drive but to be honest I use it as my family car where the m3 is more daddy's car. You gotta make the decision on which you prefer and which is more practice for your situation ie family single etc. but the m may get you more pussy

Ask both forums because you are going to get biased answers

M3. Better overall car. Will be more fun to drive, handling to power wise.
335i. Fun to drive, doesn't handle as well. Easy to upgrade to 400ish HP.

I like the way you think lol.
I've driven both just can't make up y mind. Don't know which one is more high maintenance. Which isn't a problem as long as it performs. |
